How Many Bridesmaids Should You Have in your Bridal Party?

People come and go as time passes by in your life. Some are just like footprints in the sand that goes along with the tide. But other creates great impact which holds a special place in your heart. This person may be your sister or your friend since teen years where they had seen your first love and first heartbreak. Maybe it is your friend in college whom you shared a room with or even your officemate whom you shared laughs in the office. So when the time comes that you want to marry the love of your life, surely you want the people closest to your heart to be a part of your big day. One decision that every bride will have a hard time deciding is how many bridesmaids that she wants to ask for her wedding.

To answer that question statistically, the number of bridesmaids that you need to ask should depend on the number of guests that you want to invite to your wedding as well as the type of wedding that you want. To give a rough draft if you invite 100 guests to your wedding it would be best to have 3-4 bridesmaids. Remember that your bridesmaids will act as your usher in your wedding. So 3-4 bridesmaids can handle 100 guests accompanying them to their seats, assisting them in the reception and many more. Also if you decide to have a formal wedding in a large venue like a cathedral and you want to invite many guests, clearly 6-10 bridesmaids would be a great number to fill up a long aisle. But if you want a casual wedding in your own garden then it would be better to invite fewer bridesmaids so that it will not look crowded in the aisle.

But naturally, the decision on how many bridesmaids that you need to have is clearly depends on your decision. Choosing how many bridesmaids to ask in your wedding is really a matter of personal choice. So if you have a hard time thinking how many to ask, try asking yourself this question, “Who are the closest girls in my life right now?” Just think of the women in your life that made the greatest impact. Then make a list and then sort out among whom you want to be as your bridesmaids. You are not obligated to invite all the girls that became close to you in every point of your life. Make a soft limit to which you will choose since this will involve expenses as well. You may spend for their dresses, accessories, accommodations, and a lot more. It isn't necessary that the more the merrier applies with your bridesmaids. Sometimes less is still better.
